The AutoCoding MES suite is a cutting edge manufacturing execution system that not only sets up the coding
devices for the right best before date, but also sets up check-weighers, metal detectors, palletisers, stretchwrappers,
barcode scanners, vision systems for complete production line management ...
Each individual production line is controlled via a touch screen terminal. Any device on the production line is connected through an electronic interface to the line terminal.
The line terminal can control devices like:These and other devices can all be controlled by the AutoCoding Line Control terminal and in this way reduce the need for operators to set-up and monitor these devices.
The scope of AutoCoding Line Control is to remove operator intervention from any line device and move it to the line terminal instead. The existing interfaces on the devices will subsequently be reduced to maintenance and engineering interfaces. This functionality means that line set-up times will be reduced leading to higher efficiency and throughput across the factory.
KPI/Efficiency reporting will furthermore be for all devices and not only the coding devices and thus provide a true line efficiency measure.
An example of this is to provide a throughput 'count' at the upstream end of the line. This could be from a device or a sensor. A similar count of boxes and later of pallets provide valuable information as to the location and cause of waste.
